Assist
Prof. D. Meulders for this course. My contribution to this
course has traditionally consisted in presenting students
with compared figures on social protection and social inclusion
in Europe and a discussion of the National Reform Strategies
for Social Protection and Social Inclusion, their development,
strengths and weaknesses. Each year, substantial efforts are
needed to update the course given the numerous statistical
data that form its basis as well as the fast rate at which
EU processes and policies change. The aim is to present students
with an up to date picture of social protection and social
inclusion in Europe.
