Politiques
européennes de l'emploi (POLI-D-427)
Assist
Prof. D. Meulders for this course. My contribution to this course
has traditionally consisted in presenting students with a comparative
overview of welfare state typologies, compared figures on employment,
unemployment and activity rates in Europe and a discussion of
the European Employment Strategy, its development, strengths
and weaknesses. Each year, substantial efforts are needed to
update the course given the numerous statistical data that form
its basis as well as the fast rate at which EU processes and
policies change. The aim is to present students with an up to
date picture of labour markets and strategies in Europe.
Substitute
professor for this course in 2007-2008
